The Botanist in Sloane Square - oysters, champagne and dessert

If you are a fan of oysters and like a little treat now and then, The Botanist in Sloane Square is a great choice. Lovely juicy, fresh oysters as a starter or as a main course if you order a dozen (you can tell I am a huge fan!), wonderful with champagne and followed by the most amazing rhubarb soufflé I have even eaten. Make sure you are not sharing it, sometimes you just have to be selfish!
;-) Unfortunately I didn't manage to take a photo of the soufflé, you can only guess why...

Beautiful Elsie - black leather shoulder Chloe bag

Another day, another love story.... I adore this black leather Elsie Chloe bag available in Harrods, you can see more details here . Classic black leather with golden hardware, perfect for any occasion.

And here, a bigger and more sophisticated sister bag, Chloe Elsie black python leather bag available here at Net-a-Porter. Timeless piece with rose gold hardware. As classic as Chanel 2.55 but standing out from the crowd and more affordable, perfection. :-)

Leopard print accessiries- still on trend

Seems like leopard print is there to stay. Which makes me very happy as I am a huge fan. If you are not as bold as to wear a dress or top why not accessorise with some great shoes, bag or a belt. Here are my new leopart print pony Zara shoes with red strap. Medium heels make them very comfy for day to evening fashion statement.
You can buy online here.

A leopard print belt would be a great addition to liven up a predictable black dress or add an edge to jeans and top combo. This Dolce and Gabbana is great. On sale here.

A safe bet is also a leopard print bag, a statement without being too overt the top. For example my coveted possession, a Jimmy Choo calf skin bag.

Similar also from Jimmy Choo, a lovely Rosalie you can buy here online.
Or this one from Michael Kors from here

Or this little cutie for the evening here for an evening chic.

For daytime these flats would look amazing and cute with anything. Tory Burch

And I even found this gorgeous leopard print suitcase from Mulberry

Wearing all those accessories at the same time - massive fashion crime so don't try this at home, even I won't. ;-)

Gessler at Daquise - Polish feast- restaurant review

Polish food, loved by many, hated by a few. You know who you are. ;-) Gessler at Daquise is a Polish restaurant situated in South Kensington  just behind the train station in 20 Thurloe Street. It's been taken over by the famous Polish family, The Gesslers who own one of the best Polish restaurants in Warsaw, U Kucharzy, awarded with a Michelin star.

Walking into Daquise feels like being back in Poland, simple decor in Polish old school style, friendly Polish staff and a homely feel.

For starters I ordered pierogi (dumplings), what else? Served straight from the pan to my plate. Unexpected but brought back a few nice memories. All dishes are served onto one's plate straight from the kitchen,  with grease from the pan, something my mother would do to make sure I eat properly. My main course was veal escalope a la Toklas with stamed carrots and egg noodles.

That dish was absolutely amazing, I am still dreaming about it but I guess I am biased ;-) Despite the fact it was delicious, I have struggled to finish  as the portions are very big and together with pierogi as a starter you have to make sure you are very hungry beforehand. My friend had chosen red borscht as a starter which he didn't like so much (Americans!!!) but I am sure it was perfect. For main course it was venison medallions flambé served with beetroot. Unfortunately we hadn't had any space for dessert (next time!) but I can only dream about pancakes... Mmmmm....

Looking at the menu I'd really like to try everything so I guess I will be coming back many times. The staff is very friendly and attentive and overall a great dining experience. I'll be back very soon.
